Auction
This committee actively participates at the spring and Fall Conventions by assisting with left-over product. No meetings are held. On site, committee members arrange product to be sold for auction. Members can sign on for one or both conventions.
Decorations
This committee is active at the Fall Convention. They are responsible for incorporating the convention theme into décor throughout the event including the hotel lobby, registration lobby, luncheon and VIP arrangments. A planning meeting takes place in January.
Design Contest
This committee is active at the spring and Fall Conventions. The committee meets once or twice per year to determine the design competition categories for both events. The committee is active on site for the conventions to check in design pieces, coordinate the judging and award prizes.
Design School
This committee plans the programs for the Fall Convention. The primary planning meeting takes place in January with an additional meeting or two to finalize details. On site, this committee is responsible for assisting the designers with all aspects of their show as well as the coordination to ensure a smooth flow for the stage programs.
Educational Development
This committee meets one time per year to review the Center For Education and make suggestions for future courses.
Membership
This committee meets one time per year to review the current membership status of the association and to determine methods to retain current members and recruit new members
Recognition
The committee is responsible for nominating individuals for recognition. The committee meets one time per year to review those individuals to be honored in the Hall of Fame. At the Fall Convention, committee members coordinate the presentation of the awards.
Trade Fair
This committee meets one to two times per year to bring in vendors to demonstrate and sell product at the Fall Convention. They also review ways to increase vendor’s exposure to the attendees. On site, they welcome the vendors and make certain their needs are met and that trade show rules are enforced.
